This is a collection of lessons from the Hudson Valley Ecosystem that allow students to explore different aspects of their local environment by analyzing and interpreting data. They were created by teachers as part of the Hudson Data Literacy Initiative, and many use data from the Hudson River Environmental Conditions Observing System (HRECOS). Some are short units and some are stand-alone lessons, but all are built around data from the Hudson Valley. In these activities, students work with datasets in a scaffolded format to learn more about their local ecosystem and increase their confidence and skill in working with data.
