Elizabeth Valentine provides research support to Dr. Jane Lucas. She conducts microbial ecology and soil health research in both field and laboratory settings. She manages two field studies conducted on Cary property on the impact of environmental stressors and human activities on soil health and productivity in grasslands. Elizabeth began her career at Cary in 2016 performing Lyme disease ecology research. She earned a Biology M.S. from East Stroudsburg University where she studied bat ecology and conservation threats and a Biology B.S. from DeSales University, both in eastern Pennsylvania.
