Catskill Science Collaborative's Research Fellows present findings and results from the 2023 field season.
Fellow Adrian Maleszewski from SUNY Oneonta will share his findings from the research project titled, Pole-mounted Structure-from-Motion Surveys of Erosion Monitoring Sites in Catskill Watersheds. His work was supported by SUNY Oneonta professor Les Hasbargen and DEP's Stream Studies Coordinator/Geologist, Dany Davis.
Additionally, Fellows Danielle Takacs, Samuel Mateo, and Kristyn Gessner from SUNY New Paltz will share the results of their adventures field season, completing the project titled, Impact of human visitation on montane breeding bird populations in the Catskills High Peaks. This work was completed in partnership with SUNY New Paltz professor Kara Belinsky, DEC's Sara Hart, and Vermont Center for Ecostudies' Jason Hill.
