A multidisciplinary program by musician David Rothenberg and entomologist John Cooley that explores the return of the 17-year cicadas. Drawing on Rothenberg’s recently released book Bug Music, the presentation draws on natural history and sound to explore our unique relationship with nature. Insect influences on classical and modern music are discussed, and live music performed.
