If you would like free EcoQuest materials mailed to your home, you will be asked to select from the following.
Please note the grade level suitability for each when choosing:
- Naturalist Badge (suitable for grades 2-5) The mission of this badge is to notice and observe the different organisms in your habitat.
- Field Technician Badge (suitable for grades 2-5) The mission of this badge is to learn techniques to “take attendance” of the animals that live in your habitat and practice identifying them.
- Artist Badge (suitable for grades 2-5) The mission of this badge is to design and conduct your own field experiment to investigate more about animals and the food they consume.
- Field Ecologist Badge (suitable for grades 4-5) The mission of this badge is to use artistic techniques to explore, celebrate, and share your habitat.
- Teacher Badge (suitable for grades 4-5)The mission of this badge is to practice communicating ecology lessons by sharing what you have learned with your friends, classmates, and family.
There will be a series of 6 optional Zoom calls for each age group (grades 2-3 and grades 4-5).
Students get the most out of EcoQuest when they commit to attend at least 5 of the 6 mentoring sessions. Dates are July 6, 7, 9, 12, 14, and 16. We offer sessions by age group. We may need to cancel or alter the schedule based on participation.
